no no kitty… …knits and spins her way to happiness.

Have you heard this song by Corrine Bailey Rae yet? It’s wondeful with a cup of chai, a knitting book or two, and a sketch pad. Really lovely.

In preparation for our move I’ve been gathering together things I want to knit with, and patterns I want to use. We’re going to Denver next week and I’ll be bringing back the items I want to sell. Right now I’m packing up my spinning equipment and fiber to meet us at the hotel there; that’ll go into storage and be shipped to Alice Springs with us. Last week I mentioned some stash expansion that was brought about after seeing Brit’s post.

One pound of Jaggerspun Zephyr 2/18’s (5040 yards) in Garnet from Sarah for $36; not bad considering it’ll make at least 5 shawls. Fast shipping, plus it came with those lovely litle sample cards and a lace example booklet.

I also bought some Sugar & Cream for some of the patterns in Mason-Dixon Knitting last week.

I’ve heard that the little West isn’t eating any semi-solids yet, but when he’s ready for them he’ll have a couple of bibs. In the mean time his mom will have some nice machine washable spit up towels. Yes I’m also illustrating the tags that’ll be attached to the items. Illustrations and funny instructions are keys to making my sister smile. :)

I have a rather large stash of Cascade 220 right now, that I don’t really want to part with. I’ve been tempted by the Noni patterns for some time now, but I’ve been able to resist them. Then kpixie picked up the line and I saw one that grabbed me in a way that the others hadn’t.
